I am passionate about helping communities foster literacy and a love of reading in kids. As a children’s book author, there is almost nothing that brings me greater joy or deeper purpose.

For the past few years, I have partnered with fellow kidlit authors Karen M. Greenwald, Nancy Churnin, and the Reader to Reader 501c(3) nonprofit organization to help under-resourced school libraries across the country stock their shelves with books.

Through our annual #BookHero Book Drive, and the generosity of the kidlit community, we have donated thousands of dollars of brand-new books to school libraries that need them. And we plan to keep on doing it!
